Eight years ago, we set out to make repairing easier, more fun and more visible. FabPatch™ is now 8 years old, and we want to celebrate together with you. Here are 8 facts from our FabPatch journey!

Where it all began – FabPatch was born from a simple everyday problem: how could you easily repair a hole in clothing without sewing?

Made in Finland – FabPatch patches are designed and manufactured 100% in Finland.

Our wonderful team – What started as a company founded by three mothers has grown into a team of eight. Our extended family also includes a wide network of talented professionals from different fields. We are proud to be creating jobs in Finland.

Materials – In 2025, 85.4% of the fibres used in our production were recycled fibres.

Ways to use FabPatch – FabPatch isn't just for covering holes. You can also reinforce areas prone to wear before they have a chance to break.

Going international – A beloved patch can have many names! In Finland, we are known as Vaatelaastari®, but the double vowels proved a little tricky internationally. To help us spread the joy of repairing around the world, FabPatch became the name of our company and international product range. One product, two names. Today, our products are sold not only across Europe but also in Japan and Australia!

The community around us – The creativity of our repair community inspires us enormously! The #paikkaushaaste and #fabrebel communities have shown us just how many things can be repaired. Every piece of feedback we receive is valuable to us, too.
